Retired Southern/Republic/Northwest Captain Wink Moore, died this morning of lung cancer. His wife, Sandra said that he died peacefully in his sleep.  He has known for some time now that he had the cancer and later found that it had moved into his other lung. The doctors did not give him much of a chance of survival but started him on chemo and radiation treatments last week. Wink said he was determined to beat it but it was just too much for him. Services will be held at Mowell Funeral home, Jeff Davis Dr., Fayetteville, GA. Visitation is 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Funeral 4:00 pm, Sunday, October 24, 2010.
