January 30, 1952 - March 14, 2022

William "Billy" H. Hill, 70, of St. Cloud, FL passed away on March 14, 2022.
He was born on January 30, 1952 to William and Patsy (Nichols) Hill in Columbus, GA. William retired as a Station Manager in the airport industry and later operated his own landscape company. William is survived by his loving family; wife, Shirley Gail Ouzts Hill of St. Cloud, FL; daughters, Shannon A. Kitchen (Deeb-Paul) of Indianapolis, IN, Christen M. Haaland (Aaron) of Oviedo, FL; brother, Earl P. Hill of Joplin, MO; sister, Sheila F. Newburg of Bakersfield, CA. He is also survived by granddaughters, Sariya D. Kitchen, Alison B. Haaland and grandson, Justice I. Haaland.
Billy grew up as an "air force brat", living in places as diverse as Germany, Morocco, North Dakota, and the Florida panhandle. This kindled his love for learning and exploration that later led to a career of over 40 years with the airline industry. Through his travels, he acquired an appreciation for the various environments in nature, especially plant life that later inspired him to pursue a vocation in landscaping allowing him to build a business around sharing his passions. Billy enjoyed being active, boxing at a young age and then moving to surfing, karate and golf. Family and music were his constants throughout life. He played bass and sang in countless local bands and was exceedingly proud of the family he built with Shirley. "The song has ended but the melody lingers." - Irving Berlin.
Billy was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Maitland and a member of the choir. He also was a member of the Arbor Day Foundation and an organ donor.
