Staley C. Privett, Sr. of Fayetteville, died October 27, 2014. He flew for the Army Air Corp and retired from Republic Airlines after 32 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Privett and his parents Sam and Bertha Privett. He is survived by his son Staley C. (Joy) Privett, Jr. of Fayetteville; daughter Verline (John W.) King of Fayetteville; and grandchildren Staley C. (Melissa) Privett III of Newnan and Nina Verline King of Atlanta. A funeral service will be held October 31, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Rev. Dr. David Chancey officiating. The burial will follow at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Visitation: Thursday, October 30, 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Carl J. Mowell & Son, Fayetteville Chapel. Funeral Service: Friday, October 31, 2:00 P.M. at Carl J. Mowell & Son, Fayetteville Chapel.
