Obituary​

Ruth Ann Adamek, 68, of Newnan, GA passed away August 29, 2011.  She was born February 20, 1943 in Bay City, Michigan and the daughter of Walter Knoerr and Ida Feinauer Knoerr.  Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who spent many years as a kindergarten teacher and a Mary Kay Director.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Norma Schulz, brother Lynman Knoerr and sister-in-law Jeanne Peters.  Ruth is survived by her husband of 47 years Charles G. "Chuck" Adamek of Newnan, daughters Brook Moore and husband Dean of Fayetteville and Dana Noah and husband Chris of Peachtree City, GA; grandsons Jackson and Blake Noah; brothers and sisters; Hilda Ponichtera of Saginaw, MI; Marie Piotrowski of Turner, MI; Roy Knoerr of Southfield, MI and Gilbert Knoerr of Midland, MI; brother and sister in law Jerry and Sandy Adamek of Fayetteville, GA.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Peachtree City Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Schepmann officiating.  Burial will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends Friday, September 2, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions, in memory of Ruth Ann Adamek, to the Arthritis Foundation-Georgia Chapter, 2970 Peachtree Rd., NW, Suite 200, Atlanta, GA  30305, or The Emory McKelvey Lung Transplant Center, 1762 Clifton Road, NE, Suite 1400, Atlanta, GA  30322-4001.  Carl J.
