Obituary​

Ray Thornberry, of Lawrenceville, formerly of Lake City, GA, passed away December 24, 2010. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the funeral  home chapel with interment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. Rev. Marti Slife will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. Ray retired from Northwest Airlines after 33 years of service and served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Frances Drusilla Thornberry; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Sharon Thornberry, Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Jessica and Madelyn. Thomas L.
