Obituary

Perry B. Wingo, age 94, of Gulfport, passed away on February 4, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Vernon Wingo; his mother, Cecile Modale Wingo; a son, Michael P. Wingo; and his twin brother, Terry C. Wingo.

He is survived by his wife, Jewel Quay Wingo; a daughter, Donna K. Addison (Jimmy); his grandchildren:  Jordan Addison (Stephanie), Taylor Mitchell (Adam), Austin Wingo (Meagan), and Courtney Clark (Jon Micheal); his great-grandchildren: William Mitchell, Wade Wingo, Wheeler Clark, Sam Clark, and Haddon Clark; and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Wingo was a native of Ripley, MS and was a long time resident of Gulfport. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.  He worked for Southern Airways and retired as Executive Director of the Harrison County Economic Development Commission.  He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and after retirement in 1988, he became a nationally recognized custom knife maker.

A private graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
