John F. Gammill
March 6, 1932 - October 7, 2019

Mr. John F. Gammill, of Acworth, Georgia passed away Monday, October 7, 2019 at WellStar Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain Hospice after an extended illness. He was 87. Mr. Gammill was born March 6, 1932 in Onia, Arkansas to the late Clarence Olen and Bessie Edith Gammill. Mr. Gammill had worked in the Aircraft Maintenance industry since the early 1960’s and worked with numerous airline companies including retiring with Delta Airlines.

Mr. Gammill was preceded in death by his parents, and a son Marty Gammill in 2010. Survivors include his wife, Peggy A. Gammill, Acworth, GA; his son, Robert Wesley Gammill, Acworth, GA; two daughters, Lisa Marie Gammill Corey, and Karen Diane Gammill, both of Woodstock, GA; nine grandchildren; 4 great grandchildre.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Poole Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery with Poole Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm at Poole Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 9, 2019. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to www.stjude.org
