Dedicated to Friends, Past and Present

Jackson “Jack” Kelley Aldridge departed this earth on December 20, 2023.  He was born in Cullman,
Alabama on April 24, 1940 and married his sweetheart, Billie Marie Hammond, in 1963. He moved with
his family to Orlando in 1970 to pursue a career in the airline industry and settled in the East Orlando
area.

Jack was a founding member of the Pershing Avenue Christian Church, now known as the Community
Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. As an elder in the church, Jack worked and volunteered in every
position and enjoyed being a member of the choir.  Being a transplant to the area, Jack’s church family
became his second family and he cherished those relationships for the remainder of his life.

In addition to his career within the airline industry, Jack worked as a referee for over 30 years,
throughout the Central Florida area, for high school football, basketball, and volleyball games. He was an
avid fan of the University of Alabama football team (Roll Tide!) and the Atlanta Braves. Jack loved bass
fishing and enjoyed drawing, painting, and photography. Jack and Billie also enjoyed travelling. They
went on many trips up the coast visiting lighthouses, and travelled outside the country to Europe,
Australia, and Thailand.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Mildred (Glasscock) Aldridge, his brother Jere
Aldridge and brother-in-law Marvin Pritchard. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Billie Marie; his sons
Kelley (Melanie), Patrick and his beloved grandson Benjamin; his sisters Dianne (Charlie) Herfurth, Mary
Jane (Eddy) Leverett, and Virginia Pritchard; his sister-in-law Hilda Aldridge, brother-in-law James Britton
(Lynn) Hammond and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at the Community Christian Church here in Orlando at a later date and
time.  In lieu of flowers for the family we ask that donations be made to Community Christian Church
6800 Lake Underhill Road Orlando, FL 32822.
