Born in Gulfport, MS he graduated from Wiggins High School and attended Perkinston Junior College. He served in the Army National Guard. An avid aviator for 67 years, he was a commercial airline pilot for Southern Airways, Republic Airlines and he retired from Northwest Airlines. He always had a story to tell and never met a stranger. Lending a helping hand was his greatest passion. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and was a member of Oxford University United Methodist Church.
