While Edna Rose had no siblings, her very extended family consisting of many cousins considered her no less than a sibling. Growing up in Alcoa, she developed friendships that lasted her entire life, whom she still visited with frequently. She moved to Georgia in her early twentieswhere she began her 38-year career in the airline industry. This is where she met Millie Rainwater Hollingsworth. Millie introduced her to her forever “Stud Muffin”, her future husband, Billy. When she married Billy, she gained four sisters, Donna, Peggy, Trissa and Millie. These sisters all formed such strong bonds. The Rainwaters all spent lots of time together. Her home was open always for family and friends whether for an afternoon or longer, she made everyone feel welcome. She loved spending time with her family, singing, laughing, cooking, story-telling, fishing, but most of all taking care of others. Cooking was her love language; it was her greatest pleasure to feed others; filling their bellies and feeding their souls. Her quick wit and ability to captivate will live on forever in the memories of those who knew and loved her. She was an avid sports fan, spending much time rooting for her beloved Lady Vols and Atlanta Braves.
Edna Rose Rainwater was a believer in Christ. Her body is whole again and she is rejoicing with her Heavenly Father.

E.R. has fought the good fight, she has finished the race, she has kept the faith.
