Meares, Chester B., 81, of Sun City Center, passed away 10/28/2007 at the home of his sister in Wimauma, Florida. He was a long time resident of Metairie, LA for over 40 years and moved to Sun City Center, Florida in 2006. He was born in Largo, Florida. He was a decorated World War II Navy Veteran. He enjoyed a long career as a commercial airline Pilot. His hobbies included fishing and ballroom dancing. Chester was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret. His survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Roth, Covington, LA; a stepson, Norwood Williams, Atlanta, GA: grandchildren Allison Hayward Moses, Mandeville, LA, Shana Hayward, New Orleans, LA, Jennifer Roth Cozad, Chicago, IL, Scott Williams, Mandeville, LA and Britt Williams, Metairie, LA.; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim of Dunnellon, FL, sisters Judy Soles of Wimauma, FL and Betty Henry of Seminole, FL. and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Life Path Hospice. Visitation and services will begin at 2:00 Nov. 2 at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home, Moultrie, GA 229-985-3333.
