Mrs. Betty Joyce Durrett, age 76, of Palmetto, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Perry Durrett, Jr. and is survived by her sons, Randall Durrett of Palmetto, Philip Durrett and his wife, Patty of Hiram, John David Durrett and his wife, Becky of Fairburn; grandchildren, Jacqueline Durrett Howard and her husband, Kyle, Melissa Durrett, John Philip Durrett; brother, Harvey “Gene” Parrott of Fairburn. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 11 o’clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Bobo and Rev. Jeff Merritt officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park. Those wishing may sign the online guestbook at www.parrottfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Ramah Baptist Church, 502 Ramah Rd., Palmetto, GA 30268.
